Editorial Shoot: What does unwearable mean?
Unwearable is an expression cast upon you by others—it’s what the outside world deems to be unacceptable, unbearable, unfit. But why should anyone get to dictate what you wear? Fashion doesn’t have to be prescribed, it can be self-designed. It can be as unique to you as a hand-me-down, or as frustrating as shrunken shorts. If you wear your outfit unapologetically, and others find it unwearable, it’s probably something they can’t pull off—and that’s their problem.
